IMPACT TESTING PLASTIC

We recently filmed some some Stubbs plastic products being tested for impact resistance at temperatures down as low as minus 30 degrees Centigrade.

This moulding was subjected to minus 30 degrees C for 3 days before being attacked with the sledge hammer.  This is to see what might happen if a horse kicks a manger, bowl, bucket or mounting block etc on a frosty morning.  As can be seen from the footage there was no cracking as a result of the totally unreasonable impact test meaning there would be no sharp edges to injure a horse.
